Social Media

My social media work is limited, however, I have had great opportunities to expand my experience in UCTV Sports and other places.

Below are a few pieces of my social media work that I have either edited into a video or provided the text for. When writing, filming, or editing, I kept in mind the audience that I was writing for and tried to be as engaging and conscience as I could.

UConn Experiential Global Learning

When I had the opportunity to study abroad, I also had the opportunity to be an Experiential Global Learning (EGL) Global Curator. This meant I got the chance to create several pieces of media that would showcase different aspects of my life abroad.

The goal was to publish these pieces on social media for UConn students who might be interested in studying abroad.

While I didn’t make the exact social media posts, I did write the copy for it based on my experience and travels.

UConn v. Marquette game, Feb. 7, 2023

In February of 2023 I got the chance to film a UConn vs. Marquette game. Around this time, UConn had just lost several games in a row and it seemed there were a few doubts about UConn’s overall ability.

However, it seemed that the Huskies put an end to those doubts by playing tremendously well. Because of this, the fans were cheering extremely loud for every good offensive or defensive play that the Huskies made. I knew I had an opportunity to create an engaging, short-form video using the classic “U-C-O-N-N” chant that the fans belted at one point during the game.

After editing and uploading the post game recap, I looked through the video that I had for any special clips and edited a quick 20 second video. The video received over 100 likes.
