Hi, my name is Julliana Bravo and I am a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a degree in Journalism and History. At UConn, I’ve had the opportunity to develop my interest in journalism, broadcast, writing, sports media, human-centric stories, and stories about culture and society.
This website highlights my work in videography, reporting and hosting sports-related shows, my written work, and my resume.
During my time at UConn, I’ve been a part of UCTV Sports, a student-run television channel that creates packages on UConn sports games and gives students the opportunity to make their own sports related show. I’ve filmed sports from basketball to soccer to field hockey. As an editor, I’ve also worked with programs such as Adobe Premiere, Illustrator, and Canva. As a videographer, I’ve also had the time to hone in on my camera work skills in fast paced games such as ice hockey and basketball.
You can check out those videos on my highlighted videos page. You can also view the shows that I’ve hosted on my page, Rookie Recap.
Aside from my interest in sports, I’ve made it a goal to try new forms of journalism in other subjects. I’ve been a writer for the Daily Campus News section, took an environmental journalism class, and hosted a weekly radio show for UConn’s WHUS Radio.
I am searching for a job that will allow me to develop skills and create engaging and meaningful content.
